SRWA ANNOUNCING . . . is so exciting to all of us. Celebrating romance in any form is exciting. It's what makes life interesting, because we all like the feeling of what it can do for us at any age. SRWA wants to bring that spark of romance into everything you do as a writer regardless of what you write. Romance is in everything. That is why we have decided to change our approach to what we want to accomplish for each member in her journey to being published. Upcoming contests
Each year, the Saratoga Romance Writers of America sponsors a Summer Sizzler Challenge and a Great Beginnings Contest.
The Summer Sizzler challenges each member to set a writing goal for the three-month summer period. Goals are shared, and members work together to encourage each other as each writer strives to meet their goal. The Sizzler opens June 1 and closes Aug. 31.
The Great Beginnings Contest invites members to submit the opening pages of their manuscript. Awards for first, second and third place are presented at the annual Holiday Party in December. The contest opens Sept. 1 and closes Sept. 30.
